Hope you all have a great week! I spent this weekend drawing avatars for Curls Kickstarter backers and working on the new mini comic Little Red Monster with Curls Studio’s summer intern Sammy (yesterday was her last day before heading off to college). Joe and I also attended the cARToons closing reception at Politics & Prose on Saturday evening. Thanks to all who came out to celebrate!
Item of the moment: Last year I saw Roz Chast speak at Politics & Prose bookstore in DC. She was there to promote her memoir, Can’t We Talk about Something More Pleasant. The book was sold out at the event, but my pal Teresa Robert Logan was lucky enough to get one and have it signed. Recently she loaned it to me to read and I finished it a few weeks ago. It’s an EXCELLENT book and I highly recommend it. The book opens up a conversation about elderly care, growing old, and taking care of your parents… something we all might face one day.
